Oh Essie!

I've dabbled with Essie before, but being the lazy person I am, I tend to only buy nail polish from the wholesalers, or anything that takes my fancy on the high street when I'm out and about. A nail polish has to completely wow me online for me to purchase. Which is what happened when I spied these two beauties...

Here I present to you Essie's 'School of Hard Rocks' & 'Bangle Jangle'. Can you see why I bypassed my laziness and ordered online? These two are part of Essie's Winter 2011 collection which came out late last year (late to the party here!). The Winter Collection is a set of 6 muted colours - my kinda colours!

School of Hard Rocks is a muted teal creme with a thick creamy opaque consistency. I probably could have got away with just one coat of this. Bangle Jangle again is a muted purple-grey - in some lights it looks purple, in some, more the grey side. From looking at swatches, I actually thought this would be the real winner for me and that I would use this first, but actually, School of Hard Rocks is the winner for me. Maybe it's because I was already wearing purple, but it wasn't as 'unique' as I had hoped for.

Anyhow, I applied School of Hard Rocks tonight and I am totally in luuuurve. I can't stop looking at my nails!

So pretty! I'm really impressed with this collection. Some really wearable muted shades that will suit most skin tones. I think I shall delve into more Essie ASAP!

If you are favourite Essie colours? I need some recommendations!
