Muji makeup storage

Hi! TGIF!

I came home to my Muji order tonight which excited me - perfect little pick me up for the weekend! I am becoming more and more obsessed with storing my makeup/stuff, especially in the most attractive and practical way. I used to have two large Ikea drawers on my dressing table, but two simply took up too much room. I've dabbled in Muji's acrylic storage before, but not the drawers, so, with the storage obsession growing, perfect time to invest!

As you can see from the pictures above, they're great for neatly organising everything, and so you can see everything clearly. They're also brilliant as you can stack them on top of each other. In the pictures above, they are actually two sets of two drawers - they have a sort of rubberised bit on the base of each so they stack without budging, and also stick to the surface better. My only complaint is that they're not that big in height per draw, so you can only have one 'layer' of items as it were.

On top I have a black desktop stationery organiser (kinda hard to see in the pictures!) where I have my palettes in the slots at the back, and at the front a slot of foundation, then two other acrylic pen pots (bought from Paperchase years ago) storing hair clips and brushes.

I also discovered some unused acrylic food storage containers in the kitchen and commandeered them from mother to store cotton wool pads and cotton wool buds. I believe these were from Aldi of all places many moons ago!!

Overall, I think I'm most please about how great they look on my dressing table - that's bad isn't it? Haha. I definitely would recommend them, however bare in mind as I said they are not particularly big in height per drawer, so they're not practical for every item of makeup!

Available from Muji @ £10.95 each.

Trying to organise my makeup is a constant battle. I don't think I'll ever be happy with it! This does look good though, I just don't think I could spend that much on storage that knowing me I'll probably want to change in a months time!
