Recent favourites;

Aloha,

Hope everyone had a better weekend than me. Yesterday unfortunately we had to have our beloved Macey dog put to sleep. She had been poorly for a while and she was really struggling and spent her time outside struggling to breathe, so it was the kindest thing we could possibly do for her. I've never been there when any of our pets have been put down, but it breaks my heart thinking of the moment it kicked in, I had my arms around her head and it just dropped, but it was over in seconds. She was a beautiful, kind, loving dog and she won't be forgotten. Rest in peace sweet Macey dog <3

On a lighter note, to keep my brain occupied I've just gathered together some of my recent favourites.

- Palmers Concentrated Cocoa Butter Formula - The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream SPF 15 - Real Techniques Blusher Brush - Tigi Bed Head Sugar Shock - Batiste Cherry - Carmex Moisture Plus Tinted Lip Balm - The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream - Illamasqua Powder Blusher in 'Lover -

- The Palmers Concentrated Cocoa Butter Formula was bought on a bit of a whim in Sainsburys, but that was a great whim. Brilliant for dry hands and other dry bits, and it smells of chocolate, even better.
- Another recent acquisition, The Body Shop's Wild Rose Hand Cream (I now have all their hand creams!) is a lightweight, rose scented (obviously) moisturising hand cream.
- I had £10 worth of Boots points (which surprisingly took a long time to acquire!) so I decided to actually buy something worthy (instead of spending it on food like I usually do with Boots points), so opted for the Real Techniques blusher brush. Excuse the fact that it's dirty, but I've seriously fallen in love with this brush. I usually use MAC's 129 brush, and I've never been a fan of this overall. This brush is slightly tapered for a precision application, but dense at the same time so it allows for blending. Not to mention it's unbelievably soft! £9.99 available from Boots.
- I got suckered into Tigi Bed Head's new sweet themed ranged. The rest of the range I simply would not use, but I've been using this as a root booster as my favourite Paul Mitchell Extra Body Boost finished. I do like it, but I'm not sure it replaces my Paul Mitchell. The best part is that it smells sickly sweet!
- Batiste's Cherry dry shampoo.. Finally a Batiste I actually love! I love that Batiste have expanded their range and usually end up trying every single new one, but this is the first one that retains it's scent and doesn't have that dry shampoo smell undertone. It does the usual job of soaking up oilies on the roots, but the cherry scent is divine and lasts and lasts. Out of all of them this is by far the best scented one they have to offer!
- Carmex Moisture Plus Tinted Lip Balm - I am definitely in love with this. I've always been a massive fan of Carmex in all it's varieties, and I spotted these new tinted versions by chance. I picked up the peach one, but it is more of an orange tone rather than a peach. It smells lovely, and provides great moisture like you would expect from Carmex. Will definitely be picking up the pinky tone one when I get the chance.
- Another Body Shop item! I think I'm the outlet stores biggest customer... I picked this up just after Christmas as a part of a gift set consisting of the Vitamin E cleanser, night cream, day cream, and facial brush. I love all of the items, but this night cream stands out for me. It is an extremely thick formula, provide high moisturising benefits to your skin. Will definitely be repurchasing this - and probably exploring more into the Vitamin E range!
- And finally, Illamasqua's powder blush in Lover. I've had this years, but re-discovered this recently. A true bright peach, that isn't overpowering. Have been wearing this every day and I'm still not bored!

Have a good week :)
